Bolger keeps up winning run with surprise in opener
He ground it out well on the ground. We weren't sure if he would handle it, and he has a great attitude. There isn't a lot left for him now.
Slattery now two clear in apprentice title race
I was a little bit disappointed the last day but it was exceptionally heavy ground in Gowran. He jumped out well and went early. He said he kept going. That's soft today but it's not bottomless. He'll probably go on his holidays now as he's done enough for this year. It's great to have him as he's a good honest horse. Hopefully we'll have a good few more days with him next year.

Patrick Sarsfield lands the odds in some style
Obviously he was a short price and was entitled to win but I was delighted with that and Donnacha was very happy with him. He hadn't run for over a year before Cork so he was entitled to come on from it. We think he's a nice horse, and with his rating he was entitled to go and win a race like that. My immediate reaction is that would probably be it for the year now but we'll have to speak to the owners and go from there. He'll be a nice horse next year and he should stay further being by Australia.
Sheehy rides winner for champion trainer
We're delighted. She's one of Donnacha's so it's great, and the owner is happy!. She's a grand filly, she's a home-bred filly. She handles an ease in the ground and he gave her a lovely ride. Donnacha thought that she was improving. She travelled well through it.
Mother Vincent follows up to complete 220/1 Bolger double
She's named after a great Wexford woman who was my great grand aunt. She sold a site for the Mater Hospital who have named a wing after her, and she went on to open 17 schools in Australia. This filly has as much courage as she had. I might leave it at that for this year with her now.

Summer's Dream takes finale for Doyle family
That was great. It's a good job they put on this meeting for us. We are getting a raw deal with these sort of horses. She's never run a bad race all year and would have run a lot more if she had got into races. She has to have a cut in the ground. She's honest and tough. It's great to get a win with her before the year is out. This was her last chance I'd say. I'm not sure if we'll get another chance on grass and I'm not sure if she's a Dundalk filly. We may try it but I think she prefers grass. She's improving all the time and she has a great pedigree so if we can win a few more she'd make a grand broodmare.
