The Raceday Stewards interviewed trainer Maike Magnussen prior to the start of racing, in relation to the betting activity surrounding her three runners. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that she had no prior knowledge in relation to the betting market surrounding her runners. Furthermore she explained the circumstances behind the withdrawal of Twoconduit and Celine Man in Sligo on the 27.09.2023 as being due to the change in going. She explained that as the horses were in peak form she was happy to let them take their chances on todays going. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted her explanation
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Twoconduit, trained by Maike Magnussen, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame of the left hind post race. Samples were taken for further analysis.
