Dance is Another for O'Briens
she (Dance With Another) is progressing with her runs and has been coming on. When she got to the front she just veered around a bit though and Joseph said she probably wants to get there later; her dam was a bit like that also.
Sparrow flies as Ballydoyle records double
Lyons' 'pet' registers seventh win
he timed it to perfection! He has some heart and we're chuffed as he's a real stable star!. Six or seven (furlongs) on good ground is what he wants and he normally runs well around a bend; his heart got him up today though. As long as the ground stays good he'll keep going but he has never really acted at Dundalk and the few bad runs he had, were there. He's with us for life though so he'll get another try (at Dundalk) at some stage; he's a real stable pet!
Oxx and Aga team up with winning newcomer
Curragh finale day double for McDonogh
she (C'Est Ma Souer) has been running well all year and just couldn't handle the ground at Listowel. She's a tough genuine filly though and had been working great since. She's in at Cork on Saturday and Navan next week and we'll probably strike while the iron is hot; fillies at this time of year tend to come into form. She's beautifully bred but won't be heading to the paddocks just yet and could go to Dundalk during the winter.
Geoghegan back in the winners' enclosure
Chris was very positive on him and is a great rider. It's a shame he's so heavy. the more I thought about it the more I fancied Ancient Sands as he was in great form. He'll go to Naas on Sunday and hopefully it doesn't rain as all he has wanted is fast ground. He's not hard on himself and doesn't do a lot at home.
Harrington newcomer wins on debut
McKinley wins Curragh finale for Hickey
he (McKinley) is a big massive horse. His run at Dundalk was very good but he had a little problem in the spring and his first run back at Roscommon was after 10 months off. I imagine he'll be sold and I'll try and get him into one of the Sales. Kevin (Manning) said the ground was a bit quick for him but he might improve again.
