Parknakyle got her reward for a number of decent efforts when finally getting her head in front in this maiden hurdle confined to mares. She hit a flat spot going down the back-straight, but was back travelling well turning for home and once sent to the front after jumping the second last she put daylight between herself and her rivals.

Trainer Paul Nolan was worried beforehand that the ground (officially yielding to soft) might have been too soft for her. He will keep her on the go over the summer months and as she is a point-to-point winner she will go chasing in time.

The runner-up, Dicera, had a similar profile to the winner going into the race. She made much of the running, but lacked the pace of the winner in the straight.

Seepeeoh had shown promise on her two previous outings and should pick up a minor contest in the near future judged on her prominent showing here.

Ragtime Lucy, appears to have lost interest. Her form is getting steadily worse and the application of blinkers did not have the desired affect. Oar House was the subject of morning money, but was beaten early on the second circuit and possibly wants softer ground
