This horse actually suffers from allergies, lives in the field and I think he got away with it. I think it could be dust-related - there was a lot of barley cut beside me recently and whether or not it's a coincidence or not I'm not sure. But a few ran better in the last few days. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Kermiya, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed second, and Glyde Ranger, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed fifth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Powell stated that he edged out when coming for his run. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he was beaten when receiving a bump. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.A. Powell was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden Carelessy, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 8 racedays
