The Stewards interviewed I.J. McCarthy, rider of All The Angels (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that I.J. McCarthy was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) (frequency) and Regulation 10.3(i) (time to respond) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays
R.A. Doyle, rider of She'stherightone trained by Denis W. Cullen, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost a shoe in running and lost its action as a result
