Knockraha opens chase account in style
I'm told by Pat Healy that I retired (from riding) on this day in 2002 and I'd a winner, thank god,. She put in a great round of jumping and Paul gave her a super ride. She popped away and things worked out. There is a Listed chase here in a couple of weeks time. We'll have a look at that and see how she is. The lads have a big night (Cheltenham preview) tomorrow night in Knockraha in aid of Stella McGrath.
Browne calls the Tune on Boher
He enjoyed himself. He's around the same mark that he won off before, and the conditions of the race suited him,. The trip is perfect as two miles is too short and he doesn't really get 2m4f. He's been operated on for his wind and it worked as he didn't make a noise today. I'm not sure what we will do now, and he may even go point-to-pointing next year. We might give him a break and bring him back for somewhere like Ballinrobe.
Dunne does business in style
He's out of a half-sister to Merry Gale, and he (owner) has been saying to me for a while to bring him back to two miles as that family doesn't stay. He's really a chaser for next year,. The owner (Noel O'Brien) is a nephew of Vincent and he lives in the home place where Vincent started to train from in Churchtown.
Slevin back with a winner
. I did that, they went plenty quick enough in front, and he came home well. He had loads left at the finish. Mikey was riding Rock On Barney and was upsides me turning for home. The Fogarty brothers are doing well so it's great. I've had 19 winners now. I did my leg in September and the ribs a few weeks ago but we're tipping away.
Susan stays going to land spoils
She's tough and I never saw her jump so well. She is a good mare and I think alot of her. Chasing will be her game and what she does this year is a bonus,. She will come back here for a three-mile race on the Saturday meeting (March 25). We'll give her a break over the summer after that.
