I thought 2 miles may have been too short for him but he his well handicapped over hurdles than he is over fences. We will stay hurdling with him for the moment before we go back over fences with him. I think there is a good pot in him over fences.

It's small steps at a time, he's entered in The John Durkan Chase and The Betfair Chase and all of the other usual races. I've nothing in my head at the moment as of where to go I'd prefer to wait until the morning to see how he is. It's one race at a time!

I'm going to step him up to 3 miles. I didn't even enter him for The Drinmore Chase. His next run will be in the Grade 1 Ascon/Rohcon 3 mile Novice Chase at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting. I was just hoping he'd get it right today.
Mullins and Walsh score at Thurles
The experience he got last year was a big help. He's entered in The Drinmore but we'll probably go for a winners of one in 2 or 3 weeks time. We'll more than likely run him at the country tracks as he appeared to be enjoying those fences.
