The Stewards held an enquiry into the circumstances surrounding the false start in this race.
They interviewed the Starters and the Clerk of the Course.
Having heard their evidence that the false start was caused by a malfunction of the trigger for the starting mechanism, the Stewards ordered a report to be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, the representative of Jacqueline Coward reported that Klepht (IRE), placed sixth, had a breathing problem.
The representative of Susan Corbett reported that Harleys Max (GB), placed seventh, was unsuited by the Good to Soft, Good in places ground on this occasion and would prefer a slower surface.
