O'Brien filly Brilliant in Leopardstown maiden win
Ryan was delighted with her and said to ride her more patiently the next day,. We'll go for something like the Debutante and ride her patiently rather than making use of her, he said he thought she would be better ridden that way. He said she's very genuine and she wanted to win, which is a big help.
Ylang Ylang remains unbeaten after Silver Flash success
We're delighted. She had a good draw so obviously Ryan used it again. The next day we'll take our time with her,. Ryan was very happy with her, he said she ran straight through the line. He said he felt that the ground was a little bit deep for her, she's a very low mover, but he was very happy with her. He said she's ready to take her time and teach her now. We think if everything is well we'll go to the Debutante and take our time with her. The first day she ran she hit the gates and Ryan did the right thing. Today she had the draw and she did the same thing. Ryan said she was probably doing plenty for him in front but he was there and it was the right thing to do, he gave her a beautiful ride. Hopefully now it'll be the Debutante before, if she goes to, the Moyglare and we'll let her sit in and relax. She's very genuine, tried very hard and wears her heart on her sleeve. Natural is a good way to describe her.
O'Brien and Moore complete treble with Henry
It was a very good performance because the two of them went at it from a long way,. Ryan gave him a great ride, he's a tough hardy horse. He's a No Nay Never and has plenty of speed as well, he's laidback. A big mature horse. He's a fine big, relaxed horse. Ryan said he's a baby still. I think he'll go on to the Futurity, he'll probably end up there with Henry Longfellow. He's lovely because he's happy to go forward.
Zarinsk shows real grit in Minstrel Stakes win
The two of them ran a blinder but she's been a queen all season,. We sent her to France, and of the team I was probably the one most negative about the trip, and it turned her inside out. You can see her today in the ring, she looks like a mare now, she's after maturing lovely and you'd nearly say she's still improving. Colin was adamant that the Curragh wasn't the place for her so we didn't declare and I thought I had a good substitute in Power Under Me. Once the ground is like that he's going to run his race as he proved there, he ran out of room and we probably cost him third. I live my life by 'what's meant for you won't pass you' and they switched it. Zarinsk's headed poked up again and I'd said 'well it's made for her around here'. We went to France for a Group 2 and we got lucky and they put a Group 2 on beside us, and we're after collecting, so it's fantastic. They boys have copped on to her and they won't give her an easy lead but it just shows that she's maturing and we can ride a race on her, which is great. We've got the best man in the business to do that. It leaves us a lovely option now with the Matron, Champions Weekend is huge. Power Under Me can go for the Boomerang, ground being right and this rain doesn't look like it's going to stop, and Zarinsk can go for the Matron. We have a free shot at it now which is fantastic. We'll talk to the family and Barry will discuss it with them, and I'll do what I'm told, but the ultimate aim would obviously be to go to Ch
Juxtaposition looks another nice prospect for Twomey
He's a nice horse, I thought he might be a little bit green tonight but to be fair to him when he got the chance he battled,. His work at home had been good and he was just ready to run, I'm impressed the way he battled when he got the chance. I think he has a good future. He was bought by Kevin Connolly and his family with the Goffs Millons in mind. He qualifies for that and there are a million reasons to run him in it!. John (Connolly) said the last time these colours were worn was Mr Brooks so it was a while ago. He'll stay a mile-and-a-quarter or a mile-and-a-half so we won't be in a rush.
Save Your Love gets deserved change of luck
He didn't get the best of runs last time but he's that kind of horse, he's a hold up horse and if you light him up early he gets a bit keen,. We fancied him a couple of times and he disappointed in the Gallinule Stakes and the race afterwards. He's a little bit immature mentally and we have a red hood on him to keep him relaxed. I told Ben at the Curragh to drop him in and take the chances. Maybe the second time he should have come out but he took the inside and got seven days. Today everything worked well. He probably got there a little bit too soon as the gap was appearing but I liked the way he put his head down and battled. He's slow progress but he could make up into a nice horse. He's from a very good family and he is coming. He's not a big robust horse but he's starting to really thrive now and could keep improving. I think he'll get another furlong no problem and he could be one for those premier handicaps on Champions Weekend.
Lyons and Keane double up for Juddmonte with Waltham
Persse gets the fractions right on Molloy's Beach
Her mother ran in a Goodwood Cup and was a black-type mare. It's been a nightmare to try and get her to switch off, she's just a very keen mare but she's very genuine and she was in very good form so we were hopeful she'd run a big race,. It was her first time over two miles. Fingers crossed she can go on from it. She has jumped hurdles already, jumps well, and that's the plan but I just thought that her dam is black-type and she's from a nice family so it's nice that she's won on the Flat.
