R.Johnson, rider of Bold Henry (GB) trained by Philip Hobbs (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount felt unsound and pulled up but felt sound on returning to the unsaddling area. D.F. O'Regan, rider of Tully East, trained by Alan Fleming, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up having gone lame. P.T. Enright, rider of Just Get Cracking trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly. The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Caolaneoin, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.4. by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and having considered his record the Stewards cautioned him. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tully East, trained by Alan Fleming, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have sustained a wound to his right hind cannon but was otherwise post race normal.
