Following concerns raised by the riders at the start regarding the low sun obscuring their vision at the flights in the home straight, the Stewards consulted with the Clerk of the Course and ordered that these obstacles should be by-passed for this race.
The winner, Patsio (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Uttoxeter on 7 June 2019 where the gelding finished fifth of the seven finishers, beaten by 40 lengths.
The representative of David Brace’s explanation that Patsio (IRE) had benefitted from the reapplication of blinkers was noted.
Patsio (IRE) was routine tested.
