Mullins and Walsh land Tramore opener
Dullea has a Cracking record at Tramore
I think he did it well enough in the end for a horse having his first run in a handicap. I think today is the first day we have realised what type of ground he wants. We always thought he would go on a bit of heavy but Paul said he didnât enjoy it. We will wait for a bit of better ground for him now and up him in trip. He will go for something similar. Iâm delighted for his owners Sean OâConnor and Catriona Donovan. They have been involved with a few horses in the yard and this is their first winner together.
Sambremont battles for Mullins/Walsh double
.I was disappointing with his run the first day so I'm delighted that he pulled out with a victory today,. He is more of a chaser than a hurdler but he will probably stay novice hurdling this year. We will up him in trip as well. I think he will probably be better when the ground gets better.
West provides Dullea with his first double
Iâm delighted with him. I knew the ground would suit him and that the trip would be no problem. We might go back chasing with him now, we will see. If there was a chase back here it would be great. We wanted to go for the last race today but he got too much weight for winning the last time so this race suited us. I think he will stay chasing from now on.
Roi Du Mee reclaims Tramore prize
He loves being out in front and he loves that soft ground.
Davinia back for more on New Year's Day
.That was nice. She jumped well and she handled the ground and the track,. She also had a mares allowance and Declan claiming five helped too. I didn't look at anything for her after today so thank God she won.
