Roi Du Mee clears the last© Photo Healy Racing
Roi Du Mee produced a game front-running performance to gain revenge on last year's winner Marito in the At The Races Chase at Tramore.
Gordon Elliott 's charge, who has claimed the race in 2013, found Marito too strong last term but turned the tables today.
Kevin Sexton, standing in for the injured Bryan Cooper, made the running on the Gigginstown gelding and he stuck on well when pressed in the closing stages to score at 3/1.
11/4 favourite Marito, who was held up, took closer order three from home and was driven up to challenge at the second last.
Roi Du Mee stuck to his task well, however, and despite getting things wrong at the last he went on to record an eight-length success.
Joey Elliott, brother of Gordon, said afterwards: "He loves being out in front and he loves that soft ground.
"He is limited as to what he can go for but Gordon will decide. He might go for another Listed Chase somewhere. He is paying his way and he enjoyed getting his own way in front."
