The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. L. Walsh, that C.J. Orr, rider of Blue Whisper(GB, was unable to weigh out at the designated weight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found C. J. Orr in breach of Rule 195 and having considered C. J. Orr's record in this regard they fined C. J. Orr €150 on this occasion
The Stewards requested a report from Kevin Thomas Coleman, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Swiss Army Officer, placed second, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Coleman stated that his charge is inconsistent and runs very in and out and he could offer no reason why. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given
