The winner, Eurowork (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Hereford on 9 November 2021 where the gelding finished last of the six finishers, beaten by 88¼ lengths over 3 miles 1 furlong.
Nigel Hawke’s explanation that Eurowork (FR) benefited from a positive ride and the drop down in trip to 2 miles 3 furlongs on this occasion, was noted.
Eurowork (FR) was routine tested.
Following the race, Ciaran Gethings reported that Troed Y Melin (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding shortly after the race failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Nigel Hawke confirmed a report from Kieren Buckley that Geordie Washington (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
