That's the way to ride him and that's his trip. The plan was to bounce him out and come back again and then go for the first three-year-old hurdle in Roscommon. Whether he goes to Galway I don't know but I doubt it. He jumps well and I'd say he'll go for the hurdle. P D Deegan, trainer
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Storm Ranger, ridden by D.P. Linehan, Sufoof, ridden by D.E. Hogan and Shoellen, ridden by K.J. Leonard, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion both D.P Linehan and D.E. Hogan had ridden carelessly, and having taken their respective records into account, they suspended both riders for 1 raceday. P.D. Deegan, trainer attended this enquiry with K.J Leonard and D.P. Linehan. The Stewards received a report from W. Fleming, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D.M. Redmond, rider of Allinone, weighed in at 1.6 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who could not account for his overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.M. Redmond was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.
