Donnacha Houlihan found a problem with kissing spines and the operation has made a big difference to him. It was the last thing I thought would be wrong with him as he had always been a good jumper and good mover. The Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the failure of Jessicor, trained by Denis W. Cullen and ridden by R. Loughran, to take part in this race. Evidence was heard from Mr. P.F. Graffin, Turf Club Starter, R. Loughran and Denis W. Cullern. Having viewed a recording of the start and considered all the evidence, the Stewards was satisfied that a fair start was affected and took no further action.
An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards rated 80-95 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won.
