TRANQUIL SEA was put in a lot longer than his forecast S.P. in morning trading but 3/1 was well taken, Edward O?Grady?s charge eventually justifying 9/4 favouritism. Dropping in grade it was apparent that he found it very easy to travel with the pace of this event, leading before two out and soon having his race won ? sound jumping playing it?s part.

A point-to-point winner for Willie Codd, this Sea Raven gelding, who is versatile in terms of ground, won?t be out of place at Punchestown, the two and a half mile trip of this contest appearing to suit well. Surely fences will see him in an even better light.

FALTERING FULLBACK, well-regarded by his trainer, made very pleasing progress from maiden class, staying on really well on the run-in without ever looking like he?d beat the winner. The only way is up for this fellow.

Second time in blinkers, SPACEMAN ran above himself and he can certainly be described as durable. The In The Wings gelding is a 118 in this sphere and interestingly the Yarmouth handicap winner (when under the care of Luca Cumani) is rated a lowly 56 on the flat.

BALLYTRIM stayed at it in his usual style and maybe RAVEN?S RUN isn?t much better than this. JACK THE BUS probably found this an insufficient test, HUME RIVER stopped to nothing when headed and DECOY DADDY (clinically abnormal) didn?t jump very well.
