STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 3) (GBB RACE) Jumping the final fence, the winner, Orrisdale (IRE), made a mistake becoming unbalanced and hanging quickly left onto NEVILLE’S CROSS (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Orrisdale (IRE).
Following the race, Paul Nicholls’ representative reported that Jeremy Pass (IRE), placed third, made a respiratory noise and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
