Alice Haynes’ representative’s explanation that the gelding improved for its recent run after a break, was noted.
Swatch (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, William Cox reported that Racing Demon (GB), unplaced, dwelt leaving the stalls and was very slowly away; Jack Jones reported that Thoughtful Gift (GB), placed fifth, was unsuited by the going and would prefer a quicker surface.
