Adroit achieves first step of programme
She's a lovely Oasis Dream filly. Frank (Dunne, breeder, his partner Ann Marshall owns) does send us good well-bred horses and it is important to win with them. She has broken her maiden now on her second start and she'll improve again for the run. We could even go a furlong further.
Good start for Leafcutter at three
He is a horse with a nice bit of ability. He quickened up nicely and he won well. He loves the fast ground and he will go to the Newmarket July Sales. He is a good looking solid top of the ground horse.
Declan has the key to Tom
Declan said he came too early on him last week and that if he'd rode him before he would have done it differently. He was left with a lot to do today, turning in he was last and I thought he had no chance. He came with his run on the outside and he just got up though. We are learning a little bit how to ride him. I'd say he would be quirky enough and he would probably pull himself up if he hit the front too soon.
