The outstanding run of Ger Lyons and Colin Keane continued in the opening Family Fun Day Fillies Maiden at Gowran as Adroit justified favouritism.
With cheek-pieces on for the first time the 80-rated Calorie tried to make all but from early in the straight Keane seemed content that he'd have her measure.
Second at Fairyhouse on her previous start, Adroit gained a narrow lead from two furlongs out and she was kept up to her work to account for that aforementioned rival by a length and three parts.
Dermot Weld 's Nidhaam was the eye-catcher as the Nayef filly finished off nicely for third, a length and a half behind.
Lyons commented: "She's a lovely Oasis Dream filly. Frank (Dunne, breeder, his partner Ann Marshall owns) does send us good well-bred horses and it is important to win with them.
"She has broken her maiden now on her second start and she'll improve again for the run. We could even go a furlong further.
"Frank isn't into going for handicaps, he is more into going for black-type. Whether she is black-type filly now, we'll discuss at home, but that is the first step of the programme achieved." (DM & EM)
