George Scott, was fined £140 for doubly declaring Alfred Cove (GB) to run in the ‘THE DOWNLOAD THE AT THE RACES APP HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6)’ at Brighton on 21st August 2022, and the ‘ABF MAIDEN STAKES (GBB RACE) (CLASS 5)’ at Brighton on 22nd August 2022, with his intention to run in the latter.
On the run to the line, the winner, Cabeza De Llave (GB), edged slightly left-handed taking Tia Dalma (IRE), place second, off its intended line which resulted in Battle Point (IRE), placed third, becoming short for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Cabeza De Llave (GB).
Following the race, Joshua Bryan, the rider of Battle Point (IRE), placed third, reported that his saddle slipped leaving the stalls.
Rossa Ryan reported that Fair And Square (GB), placed fourth, was unsuited by the undulations of the track, which was confirmed by Ronald Harris.
