The winner Bluefortytwo (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Wetherby on 2nd March 2020, where the gelding finished third of three beaten 33 lengths.
James Ewart explained that the gelding may have benefitted from the drop back in trip to 2 miles 1 furlong on this occasion.
Bluefortytwo (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Stephen Mulqueen reported that Lucky Flight (FR), placed fifth of five, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination found the gelding to be displaying a slow recovery rate.
