Chenega gets deserved win to his name
He was due that. It was a laboured performance but straight-forward and that was down to how the ground rode and how deep it was. Colin said it rode slow but we were expecting that as it'll take a while to bed down. The track can only benefit in time. They 'flipped' the surface and dug into it and added more fibre.
Blast lands a gamble under Orr
Ishebayorgrey makes it four for year
He's ultra gutsy. Colin and him are a great team. I love the way he gave him a chance to get the trip as seven is probably stretching him,. He was happy throughout the race but it got very tight at the end. He's resolute and battles to win. He's a lucky horse and has a lucky own too.
Well-backed Soul bounces back to his best
He has a bit of class when dropped into a handicap and with his size he's well able to carry the weight. A lot of the credit has to go to Jamie Heavey who rides him every day as he's not simple. He does a wonderful job on him and goes off on his own. This horse is so genuine, sound and enthusiastic. He's been a wonderful servant.
Outspoken gets the job done
51/1 double for Foley as War just prevails
I thought he didn't get enough credit coming into this as he should. He loves it around here. He had a bit of a break and the run at Naas put him spot on for this. I'm delighted and thrilled for his owner. He's a good tough solid horse and hopefully he can win a couple more races.
Hobart wins easily as O'Brien doubles-up
It looked a fairly winnable race beforehand. They went a good gallop and the distance was probably exaggerated. He probably ran near enough to his mark. The blinkers woke him up a bit. He was just backing off the bridle a bit before but the step up in trip also helped. It was good to get a win with him.
