51/1 double for Foley as War just prevails After winning the fourth aboard Russian Soul Shane Foley doubled-up in the Matthews.ie Handicap as War Room got up close home to deny Eloge. The Shane Duffy trained six-year-old son of Holy Roman Emperor won over the course and distance in April and finished fifth on his next two outings. Sent off at 7/1 today he raced in fourth and was ridden to challenge on the outer with over two furlongs to race. Eloge had kicked for home at this stage but he couldn't hold off the fast finishing winner inside the final 50 yards and just a head separated the duo at the line. The runner-up was returned at 8/1 under Conor Hoban for Andy Oliver while the 9/2 favourite Sakhees Jack was a further two lengths back in third under Chris Hayes for Paul Deegan. Shane Duffy, who trains the winner for Eugene Kavanagh, said afterwards: "I thought he didn't get enough credit coming into this as he should. He loves it around here. "He had a bit of a break and the run at Naas put him spot on for this. I'm delighted and thrilled for his owner. "He's a good tough solid horse and hopefully he can win a couple more races."
