That was great. Ciara (Daffy) has done an awful lot of work with this fellow, and she is over in California watching in. Ciara's mother Annette owns him, so he is a family horse,. He has been knocking on the door and while it probably wasn't the strongest race in the world we could do with a few more of them. He has had three runs now in the last couple of weeks, so we might give him a few weeks off and see what turns up. . He'll stay over fences and is running well off his mark. The handicapper will hardly crucify him for that. . He had a bit of a look coming to the last but I suppose he was getting a bit lonely and tired in front. Daniel John Howard, trainer

An extended handicap steeplechase for four yrs old and upwards that are EBF eligible (109 = 11st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 11st 10lb
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each such steeplechase won.
Riders - Confined to Professional who have not lost their right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii) Allowances (up to and including 5th September) who have not ridden the winners of 25 *races allowed 4lb who have not ridden the winners of 40 *races allowed 2lb These allowances are not cumulative and no allowance to riders under Rule 52 (iii) may be claimed.
