Goodtime for Purcell & O'Neill as Boy scores
I thought he wanted it like the road. He is a lovely horse and he will go for a little handicap next.
Caoimhe scores for O'Brien/Fennessy
my dad (also Sean) passed away last month but would have been delighted to see her win as he bred her. Her winning is a good distraction for us at the moment. she is a good tough mare but I was very concerned about the ground. She has won on heavy ground but today's ground is horrendous and I was going to run her at Fairyhouse on Tuesday instead. She won her point to point on good ground so she'd have no bother on better ground. We'll keep her in mares races for now and she'll stay down this side of the country . away from Willie Mullins if possible!
Henrietta makes all to score for the O'Neill's
We retired her a year ago and covered her but she didn't go in foal so we brought her back to give John experience. She is a funny old mare and she worked well the other day. She is a different mare once she gets to the front.
Second hurdle win in four days for Bolger
he did it well and was going away at the finish. It'd be wise to keep him over hurdles until next summer. We knew he'd stay the trip as he won over a long trip on heavy ground at Navan . he'll get the La Touche (Cup) trip in time!
Another for McSweeney as Fade beats the fav
She has a beautiful pedigree and I bought her for a song. She is closely related to Classical Charm who was a very good hurdler. She is a classy looking mare and she is very tough. We were getting a stone from the other horse (Aerlite Supreme) and we needed it all. Con gave her a brilliant ride and he was cute as he kept a bit up his sleeve. She will go for a mares maiden hurdle next.
Double for Tyner as Oscars does the Business
She was entitled to win. She has been knocking on the door and has a lot of experience. Having said that, the other fancied horse fell. She is rated high enough and it is hard to know where to go with her now. She could step up to three miles. She will go for those mares races now.
Cowboy just holds off Harry in the last
I got a fright as I thought he wasn't going to win. 2m 6f is as far as he wants on that kind of ground. Mikey said he was idling a bit in front late on. He is rated high enough and we will probably have to go for a handicap with him now.
