Another for McSweeney as Fade beats the fav After recording his first racecourse winner aboard Girl In Blue over the course on Thursday, Con McSweeney made it winner No 2 this afternoon as he partnered the Robert Tyner trained Fade In to victory in the Limerick Racecourse INH Flat Race. The 6yo daughter of Exit To Nowhere won a point-to-point at Kildorrey back in February but disappointed on her next three starts. Sent off at 10/1 this afternoon she had a great battle up the home straight with the 5/4 favourite Aerlite Supreme and she just got up close home to win by a neck at the line. Aerlite Supreme had to settle for second under Robbie McNamara for Michael Hourigan while the Charlie Swan trained newcomer The Ramblin Kid was a further twelve lengths back in third at 6/1 under Kevin Power. Robert Tyner said afterwards: "She has a beautiful pedigree and I bought her for a song. She is closely related to Classical Charm who was a very good hurdler. "She is a classy looking mare and she is very tough. We were getting a stone from the other horse (Aerlite Supreme) and we needed it all. "Con gave her a brilliant ride and he was cute as he kept a bit up his sleeve. She will go for a mares maiden hurdle next." (Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes)
