The Stewards enquired into an incident at the first bend involving Silk Cravat (GB), ridden by B.M. Coen, Bellick (GB), ridden by R. Coakley, Guiding, ridden by O.J. Orr, and Downtown Diva, ridden by O. McSweeney, where it appeared Bellick (GB) met with interference and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. O
McSweeney gave his evidence in the presence of his master, A.P. Keatley. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action
B.M. Coen, rider of Silk Cravat (GB), trained by John Geoghegan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his right front shoe and was hampered in-running
T.P. Madden, rider of Count Of Carabass trained by Miss Hilary McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in stalls and missed the break.
