The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of I'm So Fancy, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, and trained by Mrs John Harrington. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and the trainers representative, Mrs. Emma Galway. C. O'Donoghue, stated that his instructions were to settle his mount as quickly as possible and to do the best he could. He said that his mount stumbled rounding the bend into the home straight, on what he felt was false ground and further added that his mount became unbalanced, completely lost her action and did not act on the ground in the straight. The trainers representative, confirmed the instructions given and expressed her satisfaction with the ride. She added that her charge ran green and would improve from today's experience. The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer, who stated that I'm So Fancy was found to have a very high head carriage when trotted but was otherwise found to be post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered in relation to the running and riding of I'm So Fancy. They did, however, find that C. O'Donoghue was in breach of Rule 213, in that he had failed to report at the earliest opportunity, anything that may have affected the running of their horse. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one race day.
