Following the race, Charlie Hammond the rider of Atlantic Storm (IRE), placed second, reported that the pin on his girth had become detached halfway down the back straight on the last circuit causing his saddle to slip.
The Stewards inspected Hammond’s tack and having found it to be in a serviceable condition, no further action was taken.
