An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Hanakotoba (USA), placed second, ridden by Mark Crehan, interfered with Cobweb Catcher (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Rob Hornby.
Crehan was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left, taking Cobweb Catcher (GB) of its intended line.
Being a 7lb claimer, Crehan was offered accompaniment in the enquiry, but declined.
Kieran O’Neill, the rider of the winner, Arishka (IRE), was also present in the enquiry, but it was found he was not involved in the interference.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Teodula (IRE), unplaced, finished lame on its right fore.
