He battled and jumped brilliant. I won it as an amateur for Ted and this fella has been a great servant to us. He's 11-years of age and has won six races now, we have him since he was three. I didn't think he'd win another race, I thought he was coming to the end of his tether. I can't believe it and it's the best kick I've got in a long time. It's like a drug and you couldn't bottle it. A steeplechase for five years old and upwards over a special Bank/Chase Course Weights - 5-y-o 11st 5lbs 6-y-o and up 11st 9lbs Mares allowed 7lbs Penalties - (to count from 1st January, 2019) For each steeplechase won 5lb extra Riders - 1. Riders who hold a Licence under I.N.H.S. Rules 2. Riders who hold a Licence under National Hunt Rules to ride in Steeplechases issued by any Recognised Turf Authority. 3. Riders who hold a Category ''C'' Permit to ride under I.N.H.S. Rules 4. Riders who hold a Permit to ride in Steeplechases issued by any other Recognised Turf Authority. The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have suspended Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificates for the remainder of the 2020/2021 Point-To-Point Season. The Stewards have also suspended Rule 135 (iv) (c) and (v) for the purposes of this race. The Kildare Hunt Perpetual Cup, kindly given by the Ashmore Family will be presented to the winning owner in this race.
