Permission was given for Abolish (GB) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries and to go to post early.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 1 furlong out involving the winner Adeb (IRE), ridden by Oisin Orr, LION’S DREAM (FR), placed second, ridden by Alistair Rawlinson, and Abolish (GB), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Mullen.
Orr was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting right, moving LION’S DREAM (FR) off its intended lines, resulting in Abolish (GB) being moved off its intended line and checked on the rail.
Oisin Orr the rider of the winner Adeb (IRE), struck LION’S DREAM (FR), placed second, ridden by Alistair Rawlinson, once over the nose with the whip.
But after viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
Following the race, Duran Fentiman reported that Perfect Swiss (GB) (IRE), placed fourth, was denied a clear run approximately 1 furlong out.
