The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after jumping off involving Hey Little Boy (GER), ridden by D.E
Mullins, Micras (GB), ridden by K.J. Leonard and Jake Peter, ridden by G.P. Halpin. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that K.J. Leonard was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his excellent record, the Stewards severely cautioned him

An extended handicap for four yrs old and upwards rated 45-65 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; and after the time of declarations; shall not be less than 10st 4lb and; the minimum weight is 8st 9lb Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra; for each race won.
