The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms L. Dowdall, rider of Trooper Lewis, concerning her use of the whip throughout this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Ms. L. Dowdall was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency, and 10.3.b, out of contention, and having considered Ms. L. Dowdall's record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Ms. L. Dowdall for twenty five racedays

Professional Riders under National Hunt Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 up to and including (12th November) may also ride in this race.
