Wingmen gets job done on hurdling debut
It was a good performance I thought because he went a little bit right the whole way. Jack said when he let him on a bit he was better, and he was half idling in the home straight. He's a smart horse, so we'll see where we go. Maybe he will go the other way around. He's a big chasing horse, he's a horse for next year really. He has (a fair engine) and they pulled well clear of the third. Jack said he won snug.

Clarens digs deep to win again back at Navan
He was second in it last year and we had it in mind for a long time to come back to win it. With Alex's 5lb off, he was nearly a stone better off. I was just hoping that Gordon (Elliott) wouldn't have something in it again. Then when I saw Barry Connell's horse win in Gowran, I thought he would be hard to beat. Thankfully, he started treading water and we got there in time. He won here three years ago and he got a mark that he was just finding hard to win off. He's after being dropped a few pound and the handicapper gave him a bit of a chance, and thankfully it all worked out. Alex gave him a good ride and the 5lb became very crucial from the back of the last. He loves it here and is always happier when you take him out of the box in the car park here! Even with the bigger crowd here today, it just lights him up. I'm delighted for the horse really because he always runs his race. All the owners have stuck with him for the last couple of years. I'd say if we can get him back here for something, we will aim for here. He will go on softer ground. The worry today was whether the ground was too good, but thankfully it was okay.
Classy by Vassy in For Auction
I was impressed with him in Fairyhouse, but we weren't sure how good of a race it was. You have to be impressed with what he did there. Jack said he didn't mind that ground. We were running him last year on heavy ground and I couldn't understand why he was getting beaten. I was disappointed in a few bumpers last year. Maybe he doesn't want it as soft as that. I'd say he is a good horse and he looks nice. He travels with a lot of pace.
Lee back on top in Lismullen
He ran well in the race the last couple of years and he was a good bit better off at the weights this year. It is very much his first run of the year, but I thought he really went through the race well and jumped well. Danny was impressed with him. I couldn't be happier. We always keep him fresh, so we will wait for Christmas (Hurdle at Leopardstown) now and then he will go from Christmas to Cheltenham. His path kind of plots itself.
Fifty made to work in Fortria
Jack said he didn't feel as well as when he had ridden him (before). He thought down the back straight they were going quick and he was flat out. He probably made too much ground from the fifth last to the third last, he got there real quick and he just pulled up in front. I'd say he is a good horse and that was a fair performance.
Lane makes it four for Elliott
He's a good horse and had a few small little problems last year. I thought it was a very good performance there today, he jumped great and galloped the whole way to the line. It (Drinmore) might come a bit soon - obviously, I will have a chat with Frank (Berry) and the whole team and see.
Hill wraps up fabulous five-timer for Elliott
We knew he had improved plenty from his run. He's a nice horse, still green, but he will probably go jumping now.
