Harry Time breezes to success on debut
He loved the ground. He's sort of an uncomplicated horse, a good-moving horse, and very laid-back. I'm delighted he went and did it the way he did because if he didn't, the others are no good at home! We've run a yardstick now and we are happy with him, delighted. We obviously have a nice bunch to run. It is no good catching pigeons in the morning if they can't do it in the afternoon. I think he could be a Coventry horse - the stiff six in Ascot for the Coventry. If anything, he got a bit more idle in front than anything - he won well.
Gamble landed on newcomer Charlemont
He's a lovely horse, a gorgeous big horse and we just had to take our time. We just waited for that bit of ground. He was entered in Tipperary the last day but the ground came up soft. He's a Starspangledbanner and he acts on better ground, he just loved that. He quickened up the hill well in Navan. A lovely start. He's wearing a visor because we trained his mother (Ostatnia) and she always wore blinkers (or a visor). Until we put the blinkers on, she wasn't doing a tap. He's the same, he just looks everywhere and doesn't concentrate. He's not in any way coltish, he's a gawker.
Only Spoofing records repeat win in Navan sprint
We were hopeful with the track and the step back to five (furlongs). It's hard to place a horse like him, there is not many races. It was a bit of a quick turnaround from last week but we've done it before and he's old now so he knows the gameplan. We'll do the same again, go back to Epsom and then go to the Curragh. He ran in England five times last year and is not a great traveller. It took it out of him and he possibly won't go to the UK as much. It is too much of an ask. He takes his racing well, I think there is a race for him in the meantime in the Curragh. If it is not five, I don't think there is much point. None of his wins are past the five. To be honest he's not the quickest horse, he would be always on his head. It looked like he had a bit much to do but he got there in the end. Everyone that rides him says he needs to step up but he has never won beyond five!
Curraheen Princess a first winner on Flat for Stokes
My husband is in Wexford, we have a runner down there for Tom Egan as well. I think he preferred the shorter trip!. That is our first Flat winner ever so we are delighted. We are in Fethard, Tipperary and have about nine in - some are pre-training for the Flat. It was a great performance with the weight that she had. We were hoping that she would run well but she hadn't won on ground that quick before so we were just a little bit worried about that. She got away with it and did it well.
Bittersweet victory for Cairde Go Deo in Navan feature
She's all about the trip and loves the ground. We were going to wait for the Munster Oaks (in Cork) but we took a view at the start of the week that this might cut up, and it did, and we were afraid of our lives. We would never be afraid of Aidan (O'Brien) but you'd be afraid of him the way his horses are running at the moment. I don't like seeing that (Arbutus injured).
