Permission was given for Piffle (IRE) to go early to post and for Saorla (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Shortly after leaving the stalls the winner, Algheed (IRE), lugged left-handed, hampering Saorla (GB), unplaced, which had already been slowly into stride, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Algheed (IRE).
Approximately 2½ furlongs out, the Stewards noted that Inevitable Outcome (IRE), placed third, appeared to make contact with the running rail and as a result became notably unbalanced for several strides.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the ½ furlong marker, involving Valentinka (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Bradley Furniss and Makinitup (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Hart.
Being a 7lb claimer, Furniss was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Furniss was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had angled his mount left-handed without being fully clear of Makinitup (IRE), causing Hart to take a check.
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Makinitup (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final ½ furlong.
