The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Park Paddocks, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards requested a report from John E. Kiely, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Ancient Sands, placed first, as compared with its recent form. John E. Kiely stated that his charge jumped slowly at the first and second hurdle last time out. He felt he never travelled on ground that was not ideal for his charge. Mr Kiely also felt his charge appreciated todays's ground conditions and this had brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation
The Stewards informed Henry de Bromhead, trainer of Lion In His Heart, that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge who ran out, may render him liable for suspension in the future
Rachael Blackmore, rider of Lion In His Heart trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount ran out.
