The Model Kingdom cruises home on first crack at hurdling
You'd be hoping she would be good to jump, but you don't really know until she runs. She jumps well, I told him (Cooper) not to take any chances and not to ask her for any big ones, and to just let her pop around. He did that and said he didn't really have to get her off the bridle. You wouldn't have expected her to come off the bridle, it'll be a different story the next day but she should learn a lot and is having a good blow. She's not in that long in and when she won in Punchestown she was off for a long time, and I didn't think she'd be ready. I'm always aware of that, so I try not to do too much with her. We'll got for a mares' winners' somewhere and we'll stick to two miles. I haven't really thought beyond today.
Hercule Du Seuil different class to his rivals
It's a Good World for Griffin and Buckley
Things weren't working out for him early in the summer when he wasn't getting the rub of the green. We went chasing with him, that didn't work out and for a horse who jumps so well, you'd swear he never saw a fence in his life at Tramore one day. We decided to give him a little break to freshen him up and it worked. The ground is lovely, but is as quick as he wants it. Hopefully there will be another one in him before he gets a break for the winter. He is a small handy horse who is one of the favourites in the yard, is really genuine and a child would ride him.
Problem Solver works it out in Tipperary
So Scottish goes into plenty of notebooks on chasing debut
Jumping has always been his forte, he is an exciting horse and that opens up more avenues for him. He is an intelligent horse and hopefully we will mix it between hurdles and fences for the rest of the season. He is a novice for both codes this season, acts on that ground and I'd say he is versatile; with the weather we've been having for the past few years I'd prefer if he handled that ground than heavy.
Good As Hell left clear to score under Hayes
It seemed the horse which fell had the advantage and I think we were destined to be second but he (Hayes) had ridden the perfect race. We're glad to take it. She might hold her own in this company and she will have one more run as she has been on the go for a while. She was a replacement for a couple of horses James (Moran, owner) lost so is working out nicely.
Kiki Badger runs away from the field
He was bought privately out of Mags Mullins' by Tom Cochrane and Patrick McBride, in partnership. Danny (Mullins' son) recommended him and said to me 'if you don't win by ten lengths today you're doing something wrong!'
