Permission was given for Badosa (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Approximately one furlong out, the winner, Winged Messenger (GB), lugged quickly left-handed as the rider pulled his whip through to his left hand, causing the rider of Badosa (IRE), placed fourth, to take a brief check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Winged Messenger (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after possible interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Winged Messenger (GB), ridden by Ben Curtis and Ingleby Archie (IRE), placed second, ridden by Connor Murtagh.
The Stewards considered that interference had taken place but only when approaching the line.
The interference was found to be minimal and had not improved the placing of Winged Messenger (GB), as a result, the placings remained unaltered.
The Stewards found that there was no interference in the earlier part of the incident as Ingleby Archie (IRE) had initially drifted left-handed independently before being taken slightly off its intended line by Winged Messenger (GB) during the final strides to the line.
The interference was found to be accidental as Winged Messenger (GB) lugged left- handed despite Curtis’ best efforts to straighten his mount.
