Champion jockey O'Brien closing in fast on the ton
Keane and O'Brien battle could have a way to go yet
We're delighted with that. She's a filly that we bought as a foal,. Colin was very positive about her after Cork. She just got caught down the inner there and she's a filly that lengthens rather than has a turn of foot. Her form is a little bit better than on paper. She handled the ground today, she'd obviously like better, and Colin thinks she's a stakes filly for next year over a mile or a mile-and-two. We'll look forward to her.
We'll Go Again doubles up and could be out again before season's end
I'm delighted. It took him a while to win this year but he was a weak horse, immature mentally and physically,. He's coming right now, he's learning all the time. I was really pleased as Cork went to plan and he came home with a lot of confidence. We kept him sweet in between. Coming here the ground was right up his street and Billy gave him a great — job done. We'll see how he comes out of it but I wouldn't rule out going again before the end of the year because he's in good order and he's enjoying his racing now.
Simply True pleases Whelan with a 2nd win
Scorpion Black provides McCormack with a welcome winner
He likes it here and always seems to run well here. He won here earlier in the season and always seems to run with credit,. Thankfully he's kept it up even at this late stage of the season. The ground was as soft as he'd like but he managed to get through it. There is no more racing here now so I suppose we might leave it at that for the year. He's an honourable servant and seldom runs a bad race. He did it well and got a good ride from Derek.
Blinkers do the trick on Sayesse
He looked well handicapped when I got him as he was up around the 80s at one stage,. I'd say he saves a little bit for himself and the headgear obviously did a bit of a job on him. He never travelled a bit the last day, he has plenty of pace but he'd just fallen out of love with the game a little bit. The blinkers seemed to work on him. He's in again at Wolverhampton on Saturday night.
Donnacha O'Brien brings up the century again
He did it well. He probably didn't really get the two miles the last day, it's nice to get a win into him,. I think the blinkers helped, they were no harm anyway. He handled the ground fine. I kept him out on the fresh stuff early. In the straight he kept galloping and the loose horse kept me company.
O'Brien brothers enjoy a success to remember
He's still raw and he doesn't want the ground that bad either,. I was off the bridle the whole way and the last 50 yards he pricked his ears again so I think there is plenty in there. He's still learning. He stays well and around a more galloping track with a bit better ground he'll be better again.
