He was waiting a while to win one and he got into the right side of the divide today, but they are always hard to win. He’s so good at the jumping now which is a big help to him. Richie was very good on him and knows him well at this stage. My cousin John, who is a very enthusiastic racing man, is a part owner and loves the game. He’s in a Flat race at Tramore on Tuesday and maybe he’ll run there. We’ll mix it with him and he’s a fun horse.

He’s a lovely horse and we had the dam as well who was very good to us. . I like this horse a lot and he’s still big and weak and backward. There is a fair bit to come from him we think. . When he sees a fence he’ll be a different horse again. He’s immature. . I’m delighted for John Palmer who owns him.

I thought he had a chance today. I love the sire and have a pile of them by the sire as Pat Smullen told me Free Eagle was one of the best horses he’d ridden. He was a reasonable price for my mares and I bought this lad as a yearling for 22,000Euro. . He did everything to get himself beaten there today. He pulled so hard and when he learns to race he’ll be a real nice horse.
