The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of Pass Hymn (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.J. Slevin was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 3 racedays
The Stewards interviewed W.M.Roper, trainer, regarding a complaint he wished to make concerning the starting procedures in this race. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and also from B.J. Cooper, rider, and Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter Mr. J.R. Banahan. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been executed and they therefore took no further action
The Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter,Mr. J.R. Banahan, that the actions of D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Thecraicisninety (GB) at the start of this race, had caused a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the evidence and took no further action
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Thecraicisninety (GB), trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race
