An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference just inside the final furlong when Jaganory (IRE), placed second, ridden by Callum Shepherd, interfered with Union Rose (GB), placed third, ridden by William Carver, which in turn interfered with Silverrica (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Tom Marquand.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Jaganory (IRE)’s placing as Union Rose (GB) was only shifted marginally left-handed and appeared to lose little momentum as a result of the interference, with the distance at the line half a length.
The interference was found to be accidental as Jaganory (IRE) had shifted quickly left-handed, carrying Union Rose (GB) onto Silverrica (IRE), which was badly hampered.
Following the race, Tom Marquand reported that Silverrica (IRE), placed seventh, was denied a clear run and Jane Elliott reported that Maid From The Mist (GB), placed sixth, was denied a clear run.
