I thought she would be hard to beat with the benefit of a run (at Fairyhouse previously). The step up in trip was no bother to her, and Shane said she handled the ground well. She was very professional and always showed us that; when Shane gave her a squeeze she quickened up well. The Debutante Stakes is a possibility and she is in the Moyglare. She could be a very smart filly.

Magical first winner for trainer McKenna
he ran well at Down Royal last week, and needed the extra furlong. It's great to have my first winner here on Derby weekend. I've 10 in training at the moment with another few young horses for point-to-points. The owner John O'Mahony is from Thurles, and I'd say he'd like to have a runner at Galway.

Oxx wins Friday's feature for Lourdes 'pilgrim'
her owner (Sheila Grassick) is in Lourdes, so it has worked!
Qatari Hunter completes hat-trick
he'll go for more of the same and is all right at that trip. I wouldn't be sure that he would get a mile and a half, and I'm not in a hurry to find out. He did well to get through on the ground, and may be in Kuwait (for owner Mubarak Al Naemi) for Christmas!
Lyons & Keane take Curragh finale
we've had a frustrating few weeks with a good few seconds, so it's nice to get that ahead of this weekend. He loved it out in front, and he enjoyed the ground. I thought he would be ‘done’ by the trip as he gets further but it was a very good ride by Colin. He's similar to Intisari and is a big, honest horse. If he stays at 85 there is a premier handicap in him.
