The Stewards interviewed Adrian O'Shea, rider of Fainleog, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion Adrian O'Shea was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (g) in that he used his whip with his arm above shoulder height, and having taken his record into account, they cautioned him. The Stewards informed Denis W. Cullen, trainer that Little Cupcake (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
